At Ava's Dog Salon, we understand that life happens, and sometimes appointments need to be changed. To respect both our clients' time and our groomers' schedules, we’ve established the following cancellation policy:
PLEASE NOTE: YOUR APPOINTMENT MUST BE CONFIRMED. OUR SYSTEM SENDS OUT CONFIRMATION EMAILS/TEXTS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. WE WILL ALSO TRY TO CALL YOU IF YOU HAVE NOT CONFIRMED. IF YOU DO NOT CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT YOUR APPOINTMENT MAY BE CANCELED AND BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER.
1. Cancellation Notice
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments canceled with 24 hours’ notice or more will not incur any fee.
2. Late Cancellations
Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be subject to a cancellation fee.
3. No Call,No-Shows
In addition to a cancellation fee, failure to show up without notice will result in a required 50% deposit for future appointments.
Deposit will be put towards the groom price if you show for your appointment, if you no show the deposit will be forfeit and non-refundable.
4. Running Late
Please call or text if you're running late.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or may incur a late fee.
5. Emergencies
We understand that emergencies can occur. We will assess genuine emergencies on a case-by-case basis and may waive fees at our discretion.
PICK UP POLICY
In order to keep noise levels at a minimum and help reduce any anxiety for the dogs we kindly ask you to pick up your pet as soon as possible. Keep in mind we are a small grooming salon with limited space. Our groomers will give a 10-15 minute heads up to give you extra time to prepare to come to pick up. Please note, if you leave your pet after they are ready for more than 2+ hours, there may be a 'Daycare Fee'. We close at 4pm sharp, any pick up's after 4:10pm are always subject to a late pick up fee.

How do I cancel an appointment?
In order to cancel an appointment, you will need to call the salon at (813)388-9825. If you need to cancel after hours, you can direct message us on Facebook 24/7, the link is in the top right corner of this page. You can also email us 24/7 at avasgrooming@gmail.com. And finally, you can text us anytime at 1 (866) 382- 3135.
How long will the grooming service take?
The amount of time it takes for the grooming varies by breed and service, but you can usually plan on it taking 1-3 hours. Express services can be arranged upon request, shortening service time, but may come with an extra cost. Minor services, such as nail trims, take approximately 15 minutes but wait time may apply without an appointment.
Do you require any proof of vaccination?
We strongly suggest all pets have their vaccinations but the only one required is rabies. If you do not have the paperwork, proof of a tag and/or your vet's information will work. If you do not have any of these please let the receptionist know and we will work with you.
What is included in the grooming package?
Bath Package Includes Nail Clipping and Grinding, Ear Cleaning and Plucking, Bath with Tearless Face Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner (of owners choice).
Mini Groom Package Includes everything in the bath package plus Face, Feet and Fanny Trimming.
Full Groom Package includes Nail Clipping and Grinding, Ear Cleaning and Plucking, Bath with Tearless Face Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner (of owners choice) and a Full Body Haircut.
